Vote for me!

Hi friends and family,
Grampy entered me in a pet contest. If I get 300 votes then I will get to be featured in a calendar. Each vote costs 25 cents and you can send in as many votes for me, contestant #32, as you would like. Please visit the link below and print off the ballot and send it in with your donation. Thank you for your help!

Spoiled puppy

I am one lucky little girl. I have been so busy celebrating holidays and birthdays that I haven't been able to blog lately. This year for Halloween I dressed up as a skunk again. Mommy and Daddy decided it fits me well and I sorta look like one in the dark. Some of the trick or treaters thought I was a real live skunk!

Also there was a big scary bird at Grammy's house on Halloween. I did not want to get too close to it.

This past weekend was Mommy's birthday. Daddy got her some flowers and I really liked them. I kept getting on the table like I am not supposed to do to look at them. I accidentally ate one and got in trouble.

Also Mommy asked me to tell this story... Before I was born, whenever Mommy and Daddy talked about me, Mommy wanted to buy me nice soft blankies and pillows for my bed. Well Daddy thought this was ridiculous and said that I would sleep with some old towels and not know the difference (yeah right). So the other day Mommy got out some warm laundry - my favorite - and I nuzzled my way in like I always do. Then Daddy came along to fold it and I was left shivering in the open air. So Daddy took my nice polar blankie and threw it in the dryer for me so it would be warm. Mommy thinks that it is funny how things change. Here I am in my nice dryer-warmed blankie.

Stella Von Kim

I would like to announce the arrival of my new cousin, Stella. She is a not a purebred puppy like me, but I suppose my people friends will think she is cute nonetheless. Hopefully someday we will get to hang out and play.

I'm home!

I am finally back home in my own bed. I have been living at Grammy's in Illinois for the past several weeks. I like it there, but it's not the house I own. Mommy and Daddy came and rescued me this weekend. I slept in the car the whole 8 hours home. I tried to look out and help daddy watch the road, but I just couldn't keep my eyes open! Start checking my blog regularly again. I only had dial-up internet at Grammy's and I got really frustrated trying to upload my photos.

Daddy got mommy and I a present today. I got a new set of dinnerware. It is raised so that I don't have to strain my neck down when I eat and drink. It is very nice, much fancier than my old set. Look how nice and straight my back remains.

He got mommy a coffee cup to match my dishes. That way, when I have my breakfast in the morning, mommy and I are drinking out of the same dinnerware. It all matches the kitchen, too.

To the edger

I am not afraid of you. This also holds true for you vacuum cleaner, lawn mower, broom, and suitcase on wheels.

Dog days

It has been very hot here at home lately so I have gone swimming at Grammy's a few times. Sunday was Fathers Day so I brought Daddy with me to swim. I really like when I get to see Grammy, Grampy, and Dixie. Sometimes I invite them to swim with me too.

Mommy and Grammy brought me back a souvenir from San Francisco. It is an Alcatraz Swim Team t-shirt. It suits me nicely, don't you think?

New house

Hello friends,
I apologize for the delay of my blogging. I have been very busy building myself a new house. It takes a long time when you don't have an opposing thumb. I think my final product turned out very well; I'll let you be the judge. Please excuse me for it has not yet been furnished. I am going to work on the interior next.

As you can see, I matched the exterior paint and shingles to match daddy's house. I will still spend most of my time in my other house (daddy calls it his house but we all know it belongs to me since I spend the most time there) but this will be my little outdoor cabana when the weather is nice. I can stay out here and listen to the neighborhood sounds and play with bugs.

First birthday

Grammy and Grampy threw me a birthday party for my birthday last Saturday. Here I am blowing out my candle on my cupcake.

One whole year!

Today is my birthday! I am a year old. Man oh man, how time flies! Here is what I looked like about a year ago. I was just a wee-little pup and now I am a big dog.

My new digs

I am staying with my grammy and grampy in Illinois for a month or so while Daddy is in Greece. I have a cat here named Toby and my cousin Bailey.  We all go exploring together.

I like to jump back and forth over the creek. I have fallen in a few times and had to be given a bath to get the dirty water off, but it is fun and well worth it.

I'm still alive!

Dear friends and family,
I appologize for not updating my blog more often. Please continue reading for justification as to why I have disappointed you. I have been very very busy around the house. I have been helping Daddy with all sorts of things, a little pre-spring cleaning if you will . I like helping Daddy and he tells me I am such a good little helper. We polished all of his shoes and some of Mommy's too.

I am so proud of all of my final products.

We also shaved some fuzz off of Daddy's sweaters. I am not so sure about the clothes shaver though. It is like a miniature vacuum.

Our biggest project was hanging a bunch of picture frames on the wall. Lots of them are empty for now and being reserved for yours truly as I grow older and wiser. I tried to help Daddy with the anchors but accidentally chewed some of them up.

As you can imagine, I am pooped after all of the hard work we've been doing.
In other news, I have been diagnosed with a hernia. Mommy thinks that it is a sports hernia because I am so athletic. It does not bother me too much now, but dingos and empty plastic containers are welcomed and encouraged.

Come home, Mommy

I miss my mommy. She left me this week and I don't understand why. We had such a good time the past few weeks. We would eat and watch Oprah and take naps in the sunshine. I am posting this picture of us to remind her how cute I am so that maybe she will come back home.

Happy 2009

Happy new year friends and family! My year has started off great. Mommy has been home with me almost every day so I get to stay out of my bed and play as much as I want. It is really wearing me out though and I have been sleeping well through the night. I wanted to put up some more Christmas pictures of me from my trip to Grammy and Grampy Kerksick's. I had my first bath.

Then I barked at the train going around the tree. Every now and then it would let out a wail because it was so scared of me.

I got to wear my nice santa outfit on Christmas morning. Cousin Bailey did too; we are so cute.
