Bonus Video

Here's a video of me doing my tricks, for those of you that didn't get to witness my skills. I am working on them and improving every day. Sometimes I just like to do everything I know in a row to make sure I cover the command and get my treat. Mommy just got a new video camera so we will continue to post new tricks as I learn them.

My First Christmas

I am currently recovering from my first ever Christmas Extravaganza. I spent a week in Illinois with daddy's family. Then we all drove back to Oklahoma to spend the holidays with mommy's family too. So it was a lot of good quality time with the family for me. There are a few members of my extended family on both sides that I am just not so sure about yet. However, I was a very good girl and tried to keep my barking and growling to a minimum so as to not scare everyone. Here we are on Christmas night before dinner.

My aunt Erin kept trying to make friends with me. As I said, I am very skeptical. She tried to reach into my bed so I snapped at her. But we were friends by the end of the night. She and mommy made me put on a silly Christmas hat, too.

Then grampy made me ride on the swing. Aunt Dixie had warned me about the swing, but this was my first experience. It squeaked, but I trust my grampy.

Here is a picture of our stockings. I don't know why mine is so small. Santa would be able to put a lot more dingos in a bigger one like mommy and daddys.

I had a very good Christmas and I'm already excited for next Christmas. I got a plethora of dingo products, a new Juicy Couture hoodie, and a fleece-lined raincoat from aunt Erin. Grammy got me a new toy, which has replaced my squirrel as my favorite... my pheasant (pictured). I will post pictures from daddy's house later next week so be sure to check back!

Thanksgiving

I just got home from staying at grammy's house for a few days. I think I overstayed my welcome. Dixie and I wore eachother out. In a rare moment, we were both caught relaxing on the couch. This must have been after Thanksgiving dinner.

I still love my grammy even though she is the business nazi and made me go outside to freeze my tinkler off in the cold every hour.

Aunt Dixie was nice enough to give me a couple of hand me downs. I got this nice OU fleece pullover (it doesn't fit her anymore). I wore it for bedlam and look what happened. And best of all, I got her squirrel! It is my new favorite toy. All in all, it was a good Thanksgiving break. I missed daddy, but I got spoiled at grammy's and got a dingo every day!

Mommy's birthday

Saturday was mommy's birthday. I got her some dingos because she really likes them. Okay maybe this was a selfish purchase. I picked them out and daddy paid for them. They will keep me busy when mommy needs to study.

Here we are before mommy and daddy left me in my bed for the night. I did not get to go to the celebratory birthday dinner. I am very photogenic though, aren't I?

Big weekend

My halloween costume was a big hit at the party! Here we are before the trick-or-treaters started coming. I was on sensory overload all night. I was too scared to bark or growl at anyone.

Afterward the melee of trick-or-treating, grammy gave me a dingo to keep me entertained. I love dingos and must defend it so others don't try to steal it! Unfortunately they are very expensive so I don't get them as often as I would like (hint if you don't know what to get me for Christmas yet).

Aunt Dixie kept trying to hog all of daddy's attention. I had to let her know who's number one dog.

Halloween

Happy Halloween to all my friends and family! Here is a preview of my costume for tonight especially for my avid readers. I'm going to be a skunk!

Weekends

Here is what my life is like on the weekends. I don't like the weekdays because I am cooped up in my pen all day while daddy is at work. But the weekends are a whole different story! Mommy comes home on friday and we play and wait for daddy to get home. Then I get to hang out with them all night. On Saturday morning, I get up and go outside for my tinkle then play with daddy. Here we are playing one of my favorite games. Look how ferocious I look (even with my sweater on).

Then during the day, mommy and daddy usually study and work. I like to help daddy write papers and make presentations.

On Sunday mornings, I usually get up then get back in be with mommy. We laze around for awhile then get up and have some coffee and breakfast. I like when they make bacon.

Then mommy and I usually watch some football and daddy works and cleans. I haven't worn my Cowboys gear the last couple games which is why they have been sucking so badly. I will wear it this weekend and maybe they can pull a W against the Bucs.

Post-op

I had to get surgery last week to have my female parts taken out. I also had a set of shots, a chip put in my back, and 7 teeth pulled! Here's the scar and my shaved belly. I was at the hospital all day before daddy rescued me. I growled at all of the people there. I also got weighed and came in at an astounding 5.3 lbs.

Before you feel too sorry for me, I have been completely unphased. Mommy and daddy think that I lack pain receptors because it did not slow me down one iota. The doctor told me to eat soft canned food for a few days, but I decided I was good enough to chew my bone. You can also see my shaved arm for my IV.

On Sunday, I wore my new Cowboys bandana and cheered them to victory. It must be the new good luck charm.

New Clothes

I haven't blogged in awhile because I have been very busy as usual. I wanted to show everyone a couple of the new additions to by wardrobe though. Mommy got be a nice sweater for the fall. It was chilly here one morning so I got to wear it. I look unhappy because I am tethered to a very short leash in the front yard.

Here I am wearing my wife-beater. It fits me really well and really accentuates my long legs.

And my favorite... daddy's t- shirt!

End of summer

I wanted to put up some more pictures of me from Labor day weekend. Here I am with mommy and daddy wearing my new t-shirt. I am not looking at the camera because I have ADD.

Here I am tubing with daddy. I had to close my eyes!

I feel safe when I swim with mommy and daddy. It was a bit chilly.

Swimming. I had to borrow cousin Bailey's life jacket because we forgot mine. I am a good swimmer!

My first encounter with a deer! There were lots of these in Arkansas, I even saw some live ones while we were driving.

I liked to bark at the people and other boats going by. I scared them off every single time!

It was an exhausting day! I fell asleep early and slept really well. I sure do love my daddy.

Labor Day

I went to the lake again for Labor day. It was a lake in Arkansas, so I have now been to two states other than Oklahoma. I'm such a well traveled dog. I will finally be making my way to Illinois over Christmas too so that will be one more to my list.

Here I am checking out everything from the back of the truck. I may look a little chubby in this pic but it must be the angle because I am slim and trim.

Grampy Gary must have lost his mind because he let mommy drive the boat... while daddy and I were being pulled behind it none-the-less! I was scared during my ride on the tube. It was cold when we started going faster and I thought mommy was going to crash.

Check back next week, I'll be posting more pics of me from the holiday weekend!

Captain

I am posting this picture for mommy because I miss her very much. She is the only one other than me that thinks I'm cute with captain aye-aye (because I'm always cute). She is going to be gone alot over the next couple years which is very sad. Come home soon mommy!

Lake trip

Sorry it has taken me so long to post my pictures from the lake. Mommy and daddy have been out of town and I have been shut in the hallway unable to use the computer for a few days. They are finally back so I can update my blog now. Here I am meeting my cousin Bailey.

I really like the water. Daddy and I floated on the rafts behind the boat. I was a little chilly when I got out of the water.

Kisses from mommy; she is so proud of her little swimmer (me).

Drying off on the boat.

Here is me with daddy's side of the family on the boat.

And finally one last picture of me suspended in my life jacket!

Life Jacket

The lake this weekend was really fun. I got to go out in the boat a few times and went swimming too. I wasn't at all scared of swimming in the lake. This is likely due to my ultra chic life preserver that I wore the first time in; it really boosted my confidence. Look how cute and stylish I am. I didn't get to wear it the whole time because it's still a little bit too big so I rolled over in it and got water in my eyes and ears. Mommy is gonna make me wear it when I grow into it so that the big fishies don't pull me under and eat me. I will put up more pictures from the trip later, but I am pooped and still recovering from all of the activity.

Heat wave

It has been very hot lately so mommy, daddy, and I decided to go over to grammy's for a swim this past weekend. I have really improved since last time and can swim all by myself. It was good practice because we are going up to aunt Kelly's lake house this weekend. I can't wait to show off my skills.

Dixie came out and joined us for awhile but she does not swim. We rested in the shade together.

Grammy gave me some well-deserved attention. I love my grammy.

Summertime

Aunt Dixie came to stay with us last weekend because Grammy and Grampy went to visit my Aunt Erin in California. I have not met her yet. I had a lot of fun with Dixie. We went for a walk the first night she was there. She is better than I am on a leash and we kept getting tangled up.

I got to meet a big doggie when we were on our walk. I don't mind dogs; it's humans that concern me. Dixie is the opposite.

We got in a couple tiffs over my bone. She kept trying to steal it from me. I quickly learned to stay away from Dixie when we are around food. She snaps and snarls at me even when it is my food. I am not territorial over my food just yet.

Aunt Dixie and I do have a common enemy: the vaccuum. We made a good team attacking it and I'm pretty certain we scared it right back into its dungeon never to be seen again.

It was a long, busy weekend so I needed to wind down with a drink. I like wine, beer, and some liquor. I didn't like daddy's whisky though.

Dog days

My summer has been very busy! I will try to provide a brief synopsis of the past few weeks. My grammy and grampy came to see me from Illinois a couple of weeks ago. I was not so sure about them at first; I don't like strangers. But I warmed up to them after awhile. They brought me this neat fringed chew bone that has become one of my favorites.

Here I am being sweet to grammy. This took awhile because I don't trust other people especially when they are in my house. I am a very bad dog around other people.

I chew anything I can get my paws on. I found grampy's hat and attacked it for awhile.

As I mentioned in my last post, I have been a very bad dog. Daddy was out of town last week and I made lots of accidents on the carpet and chewed up some stuff around the house. I am also not very nice to people. Mommy and daddy went to the lake over 4th of July and I got to stay at grammy's house. They had a party and invited all their friends over and I was not nice to them. I am cute though so at least I've got that going for me.

This is the face I give mommy when she yells at me. It's my "I'm totally innocent" look that my cousin Amy in North Carolina told me to do.
