Summertime

Aunt Dixie came to stay with us last weekend because Grammy and Grampy went to visit my Aunt Erin in California. I have not met her yet. I had a lot of fun with Dixie. We went for a walk the first night she was there. She is better than I am on a leash and we kept getting tangled up.

I got to meet a big doggie when we were on our walk. I don't mind dogs; it's humans that concern me. Dixie is the opposite.

We got in a couple tiffs over my bone. She kept trying to steal it from me. I quickly learned to stay away from Dixie when we are around food. She snaps and snarls at me even when it is my food. I am not territorial over my food just yet.

Aunt Dixie and I do have a common enemy: the vaccuum. We made a good team attacking it and I'm pretty certain we scared it right back into its dungeon never to be seen again.

It was a long, busy weekend so I needed to wind down with a drink. I like wine, beer, and some liquor. I didn't like daddy's whisky though.

Dog days

My summer has been very busy! I will try to provide a brief synopsis of the past few weeks. My grammy and grampy came to see me from Illinois a couple of weeks ago. I was not so sure about them at first; I don't like strangers. But I warmed up to them after awhile. They brought me this neat fringed chew bone that has become one of my favorites.

Here I am being sweet to grammy. This took awhile because I don't trust other people especially when they are in my house. I am a very bad dog around other people.

I chew anything I can get my paws on. I found grampy's hat and attacked it for awhile.

As I mentioned in my last post, I have been a very bad dog. Daddy was out of town last week and I made lots of accidents on the carpet and chewed up some stuff around the house. I am also not very nice to people. Mommy and daddy went to the lake over 4th of July and I got to stay at grammy's house. They had a party and invited all their friends over and I was not nice to them. I am cute though so at least I've got that going for me.

This is the face I give mommy when she yells at me. It's my "I'm totally innocent" look that my cousin Amy in North Carolina told me to do.

Update

Just wanted to give a shout out to all of my friends and family that are avid readers of my blog. Mommy has been putting me in time out alot lately which limits my computer time so I have not been able to update as much as I would like to. Please keep checking back though because I know that I will become a good dog again someday.

Both of my grammys told mommy and daddy that I should sleep and have time out in my cage instead of my big girl bed. It is small and hard and I don't like it.
